NTC permanent protective railing
Permanent aluminium railings with quick assembly for roofs and roofs with a horizontal load of 100 kg
Welding
- With parapets, several operators can operate simultaneously on the roof (if, for example, they are engaged in maintenance, repair, restoration, implementation but also installation of systems, machinery, advertising signs, etc.).
- Using a lifeline involves being in possession of adequate certified training as operators must have training to work at height and use fall protection PPE. To use lifelines on roofs, operators must therefore be compulsorily trained with a Work at Height course. No training is required for the parapets.
- If an external operator needs to access the roof with a lifeline , he or she must provide the documentation of suitability and access to the roof must have a formalized internal procedure that also involves the intervention of personnel to give the necessary information to the external operator for access. With the nom railings there is no access bureaucracy to follow.
- Access to the roof of a company shed, in the presence of a lifeline as the only safety system against falls from height, entails the obligation for the company to verify, by means of a formalized procedure, that the operators are adequately trained and that they use all the PPE provided for and that these are verified and revised as required by current regulations as well as that the operators themselves are equipped with special recovery systems in case of emergency (e.g. fall into the void and inert suspension). With parapets, this obligation to verify does not exist. A more "streamlined" procedure (a simple communication) applies.
- The lifeline, as required by current regulations, must be periodically checked with instrumental checks by the company by a competent person; the company must keep the records. The checks to be carried out on the parapets are carried out internally by a person appointed by the company, and are mainly visual.
Sign: For each installation, a "Caution and indication" sign is provided that the customer must apply near the access to the roof.
