Ladders can be quite slippery, especially if the rungs or shoes are in contact with water, grease, or other slippery organic material.

Depending on the height, working on ladders involves a greater hazard that can result in serious injury or even death.

It is therefore extremely important to cover the smooth rungs of old iron cage ladders with our non-slip rung covers, to prevent slips and falls.

They are made from quality fiberglass with built-in aluminum oxide grit.

This makes them almost indestructible and very slip-resistant.

Our non-slip covers fit directly into existing rungs and can cover all standard rungs: semi-circular on round rungs and square on square rungs.

The supply is tailor-made according to the length and depth of the rung and the number of rungs of each ladder.
The quote includes the cut to size and the specific silicone for the type of application.
It is also possible to order 3000 mm long profiles to be cut independently.
It is possible to order our portable ladders with the steps or rungs already mounted with the non-slip material

INFORMATION NEEDED FOR THE QUOTE

To receive the quote, the following data must be communicated to the preventivi@svelt.it office:

Peg type

Diameter of the round rung or dimensions of the square or rhomboidal rung
Length of the peg you want to cover (always leave a slack of one cm on each side).

(In case of rungs with narrowing on the sides, consider only the center section of uniform diameter)

Number of rungs
Type of portable ladder you want to buy with the non-slip rungs/steps already mounted

THE CUSTOMER CAN PROCEED INDEPENDENTLY WITH THE ASSEMBLY FOLLOWING THE MANUAL AND THE VIDEO MANUAL:

GLUING SYSTEM AND APPLICATION

Degrease the peg by cleaning it of dust, paint or other material residues
Make sure the fiberglass profile channel is clean (no dust or impurities).
Apply the adhesive to the contact surface of the peg with the silicone hose gun
The application must have a slightly wavy pattern in order to apply the gluing surface

Immediately place the profile on the peg by pressing with your hand for a few seconds
For optimal adhesion, gently tap the profile with a hammer using a cloth or sponge to avoid damaging the profile itself.

Allow to dry for 24 hours before using the scale
Each glue tube has a linear yield of about 6 m of rung/step
It is advisable to have additional glue pipes to avoid running out during installation
If a profile with a diameter greater than the diameter of the peg is applied, it will be necessary to apply a larger quantity of adhesive to increase the adhesion surface.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT COVER BASED ON PEG SIZE

Our range of profiles cover most of the rungs on the market
The round profile with a diameter of 20 mm can be applied on round rungs with a diameter of 10 to 20 mm
The round profile with a diameter of 25 mm can be applied on round rungs with a diameter of 21 to 25 mm
The round profile with a diameter of 30 mm can be applied on round rungs with a diameter of 26 to 30 mm
The round profile with a diameter of 35 mm can be applied on round rungs with a diameter of 31 to 35 mm

The concept does not change for rhomboidal or square rungs.
