The non-slip surface offers formidable slip resistance and also includes the angle of the step, which is the cause of most accidents.

Stairs (both fixed and portable) can be quite slippery, especially if the steps or shoes are in contact with water, grease, or other slippery organic material.

Depending on the situation, working on portable ladders or fixed staircases poses an increased hazard that can result in serious injury or even death.

It is therefore extremely important to cover potentially slippery steps with our anti-slip covers, to prevent accidents and falls.

They are made from quality fiberglass with built-in aluminum oxide grit.

This makes them almost indestructible and very slip-resistant.

Our non-slip covers fit directly into existing steps and can cover different depths and widths.

The covers also protect the steps on which they will be laid, extending their life and reducing maintenance costs.

SUPPLY

The supply is tailor-made according to the length and depth of the step and the number of steps of each staircase or ascent.
The quote includes the cut to size and the specific silicone for the type of application.
It is also possible to order 3000 mm long profiles to be cut independently.
It is possible to order our portable ladders with the steps or rungs already mounted with the non-slip material

To receive the quote, the following data must be communicated to the preventivi@svelt.it office:

THE CUSTOMER CAN PROCEED INDEPENDENTLY WITH THE ASSEMBLY FOLLOWING THE MANUAL AND THE VIDEO MANUAL:

GLUING SYSTEM AND APPLICATION ON STEPS WITH SMOOTH SURFACE

Clean and degrease the surface of the step by cleaning it of dust, paint or other material residues
Make sure that the contact surface of the GRP profile is clean (free of dust or impurities).
Apply the adhesive to the contact surface of the step with the special silicone pipe gun when applying on solid steps (concrete, wood, extrusions, aluminum, etc.)
The application must have a wavy pattern in order to expand the gluing surface.
Immediately place the profile on the step by pressing with your hand for a few seconds
Allow to dry for 24 hours before using the scale
Each glue tube has a linear yield that depends on the type of step.
It is advisable to have additional glue pipes to avoid running out during installation

GLUING SYSTEM AND APPLICATION ON STEPS WITH A CHEQUERED METAL SURFACE

In the case of a chequered metal surface, it will be necessary to glue a strip of industrial rubber (supplied) beforehand

on the step and then glue the fiberglass profile (see video 1).

GLUING SYSTEM AND APPLICATION ON STEPS WITH GRILLED SURFACE

If a profile is applied on grating steps, assembly kits will be provided consisting of clips to be placed under the steps together with screws and nuts (see video 2)

GLUING SYSTEM AND APPLICATION ON STEPS WITH CONCRETE SURFACE

If a profile is applied on concrete steps, it will be necessary, in addition to applying the glue to be spread on the profile, also to drill the profile and the concrete by inserting a dowel, fixing the profile with screws (see video 3).

HOW TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT COVER BASED ON STEP SIZE

It will be sufficient to communicate to SVELT the data of the width and depth of the step.
